Dry-Fried Beef Kueh Teow


150g beef tenderloin

½ tsp corn flour

1 tbsp light soy sauce

2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp chopped shallots

300g fresh kueh teow


2 tsp dark soy sauce

2 tbsp light soy sauce

½ tsp chicken stock powder


100g taugeh, tailed

50g yellow chives, cut into short strips

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Cut beef into 0.2cm thin slices. Add corn flour, light soy sauce and mix well.
  2. Heat up wok till smoky hot. Add oil, beef slices and stir-fry quickly till the color just turned. Dish, drain and keep aside.
  3. Heat up oil again, saute chopped shallots till fragrant, add kueh teow and stir-fry till hot. Add beef, A and toss well.
  4. Lastly, add B stir-fry for ½ minute and taste. Dish onto serving plate and serve hot.
