Tested Recipe Adapted from Evon Kow
½ cup uncooked rice
5 cups water
250g roast pork or trotter meat
½ tsp salt
1 tsp oil
5 dried oysters (soaked till soft)
1 salted egg (hard-boiled)
1 century egg
1 tbsp shredded ginger
1 tbsp chopped spring onion
- Rinse rice, drain, and place in a pot. Mix in salt and oil, and set aside for 20 minutes.
- Add in water and dried oysters, and bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add in roast pork or trotter meat and boil for another 20 minutes.
- Peel and cut salted egg and century egg into cubes. Add them and mix well. Serve hot with garnishing.
