Tested Recipe Adapted from Jamie Jong’s Claypot Delights

Claypot Chicken Wings with Strawberry


6 chicken wings

10 strawberries

1 onion – chopped

2 tbsp chopped garlic

Salt and pepper

Oil for frying

A: (mixed in a bowl)

1 tbsp marmite paste

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp thick soy sauce

2 tbsp sugar

¾ cup water

1 tsp tapioca flour

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Remove wing tips of chicken wings, cut each wing into two parts, trim and shape the winglets into boxing chicken. Marinate with bit of salt and pepper for 15 mins.
  2. Heat oil in a wok, deep fry chicken wings until golden and cooked. Drain well.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in claypot, fry chopped onion and garlic until fragrant, combine A and add in. Cook until sauce thickened, add in strawberries and chicken wings, mix well and serve.
