Shrimp Tempura Udon


4 nos shrimp tempura

1 packet udon

Seasonings: (mixed well)

1 tsp dashi seasoning powder

2 tbsp Kikkoman soy sauce

1 tbsp mirin

½ tsp granulated sugar

500ml water


2 slices of narutomaki

Some shichimi hot pepper

Some urashima seasoning seaweed

Some chopped spring onion

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Bring some water to a boil, add in the udon, scald until loosen. Remove, drain and transfer into a serving bowl.
  2. Add the seasonings ingredients into a pan and bring to a boil. Turn off heat and pour the hot broth over the udon, top with the shrimp tempura, garnish with the narutomaki and chopped spring onion, sprinkle some urashima seasoning seaweed and shichimi hot pepper and serve immediately.
