Stewed Roasted Pork Belly in Shanghai Style

Ingredients:

360g roasted pork belly

Seasonings:

2 tbsp tomato sauce

2 tbsp chilli sauce

2 pieces tamarind peel

1 salted plum

1 lemongrass (white part only, crushed)

1 ½ tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp dark soy sauce

500ml water

5 cloves garlic (flatten)

2 slices young ginger (flatten)

Garnishing:

Some shredded spring onion and red chilli

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Cut roasted pork belly into thick pieces.
  2. Place the roasted pork belly and seasonings into a pot, stew over medium-low heat till the sauce is fairly dried.
  3. Dish out, garnish with some shredded spring onion and red chilli. Serve with white rice.
