Pork Chop Ala Thai

Tested Recipe with Slight Adjustment Adapted from Alan Kok

Pork Chop Ala Thai


500g pork tenderloin (cut into thick slices and pounded with the back of knife)

1 green mango (peeled and shredded)

1 onion (peeled and shredded)

½ tsp salt

Adequate cooking oil for deep-frying


½ tsp salt

1 tsp light soy sauce

2 tbsp water

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp plain flour


1 cup bread crumbs

Sauce (mixed):

5 tbsp Thai chilli sauce

1 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp lime juice

3 chilli padi (chopped)


Some shredded red chilli and cilantro

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Mix together the marinade ingredients and marinate pork chops for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat up oil for deep-frying. Coat pork chops with bread crumbs and deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown. Dish and drain.
  3. Combine shredded mango and onion with ½ tsp salt and place onto a serving platter. Put pork chops on top, pour sauce over, garnish with some shredded red chilli and cilantro. Serve.
