350g squids (cleaned)
1 big onion (peeled and cut into ring)
1 pc tamarind slice
4 tbsp cooking oil
20 dried chillies (soaked)
10 shallots (peeled)
6 cloves garlic (peeled)
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
- Heat up a non-stick skillet with 4 tbsp of cooking oil, saute the blended ingredients until fragrant.
- Add in sugar, continue to saute until oil separates.
- Add in squids, stir to combine and continue to simmer until half-cooked.
- Add in onion ring, tamarind slice and salt. Stir to combine and continue to simmer until the sauce become thicken.
- Dish out and serve.
