Sotong Masak Lemak Cili Padi


500g squids (cleaned)

2 tbsp cooking oil

½ cup thick coconut milk

Blended ingredients:

2 lemongrass (white part only)

2-inch young ginger

5 green bird’s eye chillies

½ big onion (peeled)

1-inch turmeric

2 cloves garlic (peeled)


½ tsp sugar

¼ tsp salt

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Heat up a non-stick skillet with 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
  2. Saute the blended ingredients until fragrant.
  3. Add in thick coconut milk and bring to a boil.
  4. Add in squids and seasonings. Continue to simmer until just cooked.
  5. Dish out and serve.
