Sweet & Sour Pork Chop

Ingredients:

2 pcs x 100g pork loin (trimmed, flatten with back of chopping knife)

1 big onion (peeled and sliced)

1 stem celery (trimmed and cut into strips)

6 cherry tomatoes (halved)

2 potatoes (peeled and sliced)

Adequate cooking oil

Marinade:

1 egg

1 tsp chicken seasoning powder

½ tsp sugar

½ tsp ground white pepper

1 tsp custard powder

1 tsp all-purpose flour

Coating:

2 tbsp corn starch

Sweet & Sour Sauce: (mixed well)

2 tbsp tomato sauce

½ tbsp chilli sauce

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp plum sauce

2 tsp sugar

¼ tsp salt

2 tbsp water

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Marinate the pork loin with marinade ingredients and set aside.
  2. Heat up adequate cooking oil for pan-frying. Pan-fry the potato slices until cooked. Remove and arrange on a serving platter.
  3. Coat the marinated pork loin with corn starch and pan-fry until golden brown. Remove, drained and cut into slices, arrange on top of the potato slices.
  4. Heat up 1 tbsp of cooking oil, saute the big onion, celery and cherry tomatoes until fragrant, add sweet and sour sauce and bring to a boil, pour sauce over pork chop. Serve.
