Grilled Pork Chop with Lemongrass & Turmeric

Tested Recipe with Slight Adjustment Adapted from Madam Wong’s Confinement Dishes


Ingredients A:

4 slices (450g) pork chop

Ingredients B: (blended)

3 stalk lemongrass (white part only)

26g fresh turmeric

45g shallots (peeled)

30g old ginger


1 tsp salt

1 ½ tsp meat curry powder

½ tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp cooking oil

1 tbsp water

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Rinse pork chops and pat dry with kitchen paper. Using a meat pounder, pound the pork chops to tenderise them. Mix well with ingredients B and marinade, and leave in the fridge overnight.
  2. Arrange marinated pork chops on a lined baking tray. Grill in a preheated oven at 200C for 30 minutes till cooked (flip them over half way through the grilling).
