Tested Recipe with Slight Adjustment Adapted from Madam Wong’s Confinement Dishes
2 pcs ma yau fillet (420g)
45g fresh turmeric
45g old ginger
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
- Mix fish fillet with marinade and set aside for 1 hour. Remove fish fillet and keep the marinade for later use.
- Heat up 5 tbsp of cooking oil in a skillet, pan-fry fish filler until cooked. Transfer fish fillet to a serving platter.
- Use the remaining oil to stir-fry the marinade over low heat until fragrant.
- Add in seasonings and fried fish fillet and cook for a while.
- Dish out and serve.
