Teriyaki King Oyster Mushroom

Ingredients:

200g king oyster mushroom (cut into ¼-inch slices lengthwise)

Marinade:

1 tsp grated young ginger

1 tsp grated garlic

1 tbsp Kikkoman soy sauce

1 tbsp sake

1 tbsp mirin

1 tsp caster sugar

1 tbsp extra virgin sesame oil

Garnishing:

1 tbsp chopped spring onion

1 tsp toasted white sesame seeds

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Marinate the king oyster mushroom with the marinade ingredients and set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat up a non-stick skillet. Add in the marinated king oyster mushroom and continue to saute until the mushroom absorb most of the sauce.
  3. Dish out to a serving platter, garnish with chopped spring onion and toasted white sesame seeds.
  4. Serve with rice.
